A lovely self contained cottage for rental throughout the year
This stunning accommodation is located in the coastal area of “The Mani”. The Courtyard is a beautifully designed guest house built in the Mani tradition of honey coloured stone and tiled roof.
The accommodation includes a main bedroom that sleeps 2 persons in a double bed, a bathroom with shower and a self contained kitchen which includes cooking facilities and of course a fridge. The entrance opens up onto a terrace with a pool shared with the owners and with sun bathing amenities, all within a few meters of your front door. If mobility is an issue, the property has been designed to be wheelchair friendly.
If you want to cook in then a litre of extra virgin olive oil from our garden is on the kitchen shelf free.
Included in the rental are towels, soap, a kettle, knives, forks and spoons, fresh water, tea making and a bottle of Greek wine,
“The Courtyard” is located close to the lovely village of Kardamili with its chic shops and restaurants, Stoupa with its fabulous beaches and Aghious Nicholias, a pretty harbour village with excellent restaurants and a picture perfect setting. The location is in the middle of olive groves and natural habitat as far as the eye can see, with mountains in the background and the sea in the foreground
The Courtyard is for those who require peace and tranquillity in a naturally beautiful setting and will especially appeal to artists, hikers, photographers, single persons, bikers and all those who love the outdoor environment.
Close by is Neohori, a pretty village offering classical and other music in a lovely amphitheatre setting during the season. There is also a Church and a pub and of course nearby the village of Kardamili known for its pretty harbour setting, shops and an International Jazz festival. Kalamata is the main town and is around 25 miles to the north ( 40Kms ). The town has a small airport with direct flights to the UK, Europe and beyond. For those interested in Greek culture, the Messini site is very close by with others in the direction of Sparta. Many other ancient sites can be visited throughout the Peloponnese
Getting around
A car or scooter are essential for getting around and we are typically 10 minutes drive from most amenities. For walkers and hikers there are many tracks and small roads leading towards the hills and mountains and also to the many beautiful villages scattered around this area.
Language
Most restaurants and shops speak good English and many also understand other major languages including German, Italian and French
Local bus
There is a good and regular bus service operating along the coast road in the direction of Kalamata and Agriopoli. The nearest but stop is Stoupa
Banking
There are a few main banks in the local area and many ATV cash machines
